【1995 Archives】
If you think of Kevin Malone from 995 ArchivesOfficeevery time you see a giant pot of chili, you're not alone.
It's been nearly 11 years since the "Casual Friday" episode of The Officeaired, which featured the memorable cold open where Kevin accidentally dropped a huge pot of his "famous chili" onto the floor, and no one has forgotten about it. Not even Brian Baumgartner — who played Kevin in the NBC comedy — himself.
To this day, Baumgartner is remembered for that scene, and this year the actor is embracing the association by celebrating National Chili Day in style.

In honor of the annual food holiday, Baumgartner partnered with BUSH'S® Beans to share his own chili recipe with the world and give a nod to his iconic scene from The Office.
Fans of show will recall that Kevin makes his famous chili at leastonce a year. The trick is to undercook the onions, because, as he says, "Everybody is going to get to know each other in the pot."
The recipe, which has been passed down through generations of Malones, calls for pressed garlic, diced whole tomatoes, and toasted ancho chiles. Making the famous chili is an art form, which Kevin has mastered, but unfortunately he's not so great at carrying a full pot into the office.
Via GiphyThough it's nice to see Baumgartner reunited with a pot of chili, it may upset fans to know that this chili recipe does notcall for undercooking onions. In fact, it omits them entirely! Instead, the actor combines beans, ground turkey, garlic, cheese, peppers, and more to create what I'm sure would still be a Kevin-approved dish.
If you long to see what Kevin and a pot of chili would look like in 2020, you're in luck. Baumgartner also created a video with BUSH'S®, and at points you can really see the Kevin jump right out.
Normally brand partnerships are annoying as hell, but they're far more tolerable when they're cleverly related to The Office. Here's hoping Snyder's or Rold Gold hits up Leslie David Baker for a Pretzel Day campaign of some sort.
