【Glori-Anne Gilbert Archives】
If you compare the magazine covers of Girls' Life and Boys' Life,Glori-Anne Gilbert Archives you'll most likely find a host of differences: The former focuses on beauty tips and fashion advice while the latter exclusively advertises tips on career exploration.
Earlier this month, Facebook user Shoshanna Keats-Jaskoll uploaded an image of both publications side by side to point out the sexism and "divergent messages" being sent by the magazines.
Thousands of people agreed that there's a big problem with a magazine that only pushes the shallow side of girls. And now Amy Schumer and Blake Lively have joined their ranks.

Schumer shared the viral image on her Instagram account, with the simple caption of "No."
Lively quickly followed that up with a repost, saying "Wow. @amyschumer I second that emotion. Ladies, let's not let this happen anymore..."
When asked by Refinery 29for a response, the publisher and founding editor of Girls' Lifesaid she wished people had read the contents of the magazine before jumping to conclusions.
"Are we more than lip gloss and clothes? Of course," Karen Bokram told Refinery 29. "It's okay to like lip gloss or be interested in fashion... I don't know how [the problem] became 'either you like lip gloss and clothes or you like being an astronaut.'"
The original poster, Keats-Jaskoll, encouraged folks to reach out to the teams behind each magazine to express any frustrations.
"Write letters to them asking them to respect your daughters and provide quality articles and information," she wrote. "We are the consumers. We can make the difference for our daughters."
