A Danish craft brewery is Indiagetting more than crafty with its latest brew.
SEE ALSO: One brewery's latest beer took the trip from the toilet to the tapThe "Pisner" -- that's not a spelling error -- from Norrebro Bryghus brewery near Copenhagen used 50,000 liters of human urine to make their newest drink.
The urine was sourced from Denmark's Roskilde Festival, a huge summer music festival, and isn't actually used directly in the beer. Instead it fertilized the barley to make the pilsner brew. That doesn't mean some people don't think actual pee is in the beverage, the head of the brewery told Reuters. "We had a good laugh about that," he said.
The brewery was able to make about 60,000 bottles of the Pisner.
Someone had a bit of fun on the beer review site RateBeer.com and commented that the beer had a "Medium body, again sweet, cleam [sic] malts with this slightly spicy, piney edge - a bit like urinal balls."
