【The Irresistible Daughter in Law】
Well this is The Irresistible Daughter in Lawinteresting. A day after leaked photos gave us a first glimpse of Samsung's Galaxy A7 phone and its triple rear camera, the company went out and announced the phone officially.
But that means Samsung has something else in stock for its Oct. 11 unveiling, doesn't it?
Let's go back to the Galaxy A7 first.
SEE ALSO: Not a rumor: Samsung has almost completed its foldable phoneThe phone is perhaps best described as a photography-oriented mid-ranger. It's got a 6-inch, 2,220x1,080 Super AMOLED screen, an unnamed octa-core processor (which will differ by market and mobile operator), 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage (again, depending on market and operator), a 3,300mAh battery and Android 8.0.
The cameras are another story. On the back, it has a 24-megapixel, F1.7 camera accompanied with an 8-megapixel, F2.4 ultra-wide, 120-degree sensor and a 5-megapixel, F2.2 depth sensor (for those portrait photos). On the front, it has a single, 24-megapixel, F2.0 shooter.
All of this camera tech will allow Galaxy A7 users to do some cool tricks, like adjusting bokeh effect strength as you take the photo. As seen on the Galaxy S series of phones first, the A7's main sensor can combine four pixels into one to get better photos in low-light situations, and Samsung's intelligent Scene Optimizer is also on board.

Samsung Galaxy A7 is available in four colors: blue, black, gold and pink. It's coming to select European and Asian markets this fall; the price has not been announced.
Samsung says it will "celebrate the launch" of a "new member to the galaxy family" on October 11. Could it be the rumored A9 with four rear cameras? We'll have to wait a few more weeks and see.
