Although Alibaba heavily promoted her appearance at its big gala concert in China,Adventure Movies | Adult Movies Online concert headliner Katy Perry decided to stay home after tweeting about how upset she was with Hillary Clinton's loss in the U.S. presidential election.

Alibaba is China's biggest e-commerce vendor, and Friday's Singles' Day event has been the world's biggest shopping event for the past four years.

The U.S. singer pulled out of the concert appearance citing a "family emergency." She was meant to appear at Alibaba's Thursday night concert to drum up excitement for the midnight's sale commencement.

She was to join Scarlett Johansson, David Beckham, Kobe Bryant and the band One Republic on stage.

But on Wednesday, after Donald Trump became president-elect, Perry -- a vocal Clinton supporter -- tweeted a string of messages in despair.
