As the Washington Postpoints out, Trump was only able to spend 30 minutes at the memorial, so it's possible that the shortness of Trump's note may have been due to a time crunch. Still, the manner of the note is tone deaf at the least, and possibly offensive to the millions who died during the Holocaust.

Predictably, many compared Trump's note to the note Obama left when he visited the site as a senator running for president in 2008.
