The Adult | Adult Movies Onlinenext version of Google's mobile operating system, Android Q, is getting one highly requested feature: dark mode.
The system-wide dark mode, which turns the Android interface from white to dark colors such as black and gray, will be released with Android Q when it comes out later this year.
SEE ALSO: Google I/O report card, one year later: Overpromising and underdeliveringDark modes have recently become popular for numerous reasons. For one, it reduces eye strain. This is particularly useful when you're using your phone in dark situations such as in a bar or before bedtime.
Another reason dark mode is useful: battery life. Last year, Google revealed dark mode user interfaces greatly help conserve battery life. Phones with OLED displays benefit the most from dark-themed interfaces because the individual pixels don't need to turn on if they're black. Phones with LCD displays, which have a backlighting system to illuminate the entire screen, don't benefit much from dark themes.
Google says dark mode on Android Q can be enabled with simple tap of a button within the Quick Settings.

Samsung recently added a system-wide dark mode to its One UI for Galaxy devices. Similarly, many apps such as Twitter, Slack, and Facebook Messenger also have a dark mode. You can find a list of the many apps that have a dark mode and how to enable it here.
Android won't be the only mobile OS adding a dark mode this year. Apple is rumored to be preparing its own dark mode for iOS 13, which is expected to be announced at WWDC this year.
Dark mode for Android Q was one of several new features announced for Google's upcoming OS. In addition to the darker theme, Google doubled down on its commitment to on-device privacy, foldable devices, and digital wellbeing.
