Dating apps usually bring people together,Discuss Section but in one very adorable case Tinder brought a pair of cats together.
Butter and Ozzie, an especially cute pair of orange and white feline brothers, were separated when they were adopted by different families from a shelter in Petaluma, California. Their story would have ended there if a stroke of luck hadn't brought their respective owners, Brian Herrera and Cathleen Cavin, together on Tinder.
After chatting on the app for a long time, Cavin almost bailed but eventually agreed to meet Herrera for a date. They hit it off and when she went back to his house, she initially mistook Butter for her own cat, Ozzie, when she spotted him out of the corner of her eye.

She insisted to Herrera that it was her cat, and naturally he thought she was a little kooky. But she promised if he saw Ozzie he'd see what she meant. So the next day Herrera and his daughter went to her house, and indeed the similarities were uncanny.
They went back and consulted their adoption papers and, lo and behold, the cats turned out to be brothers. What makes this discovery even more poignant is that Cavin had originally wanted to adopt the pair of cats from the shelter but knew her landlord wouldn't allow it.
So she and her young daughter settled on Ozzie and left feeling heartbroken over separating the brothers. Cavin even called the shelter later trying to track down the other cat, but he'd already been adopted.

Fortunately for the now famous cat bros, their owners have also found lasting love. They are planning to move in together in March, bringing the two boys back under the same roof for good.
If only all dating app stories had such purr-fect endings.
